Embracing the BurnOut Generation?

The BurnOut Generation is categorized as people who are suffering from overworking when there is little or no immediate reward to the task and so they loose motivation and Burn Out.

The BurnOut Generation

and trying to embrace it.

The BurnOut Generation has been identified most commonly as millennials who are suffering from anxiety caused by debt, lack of job prospects and being woefully unprepared for adult life.

Blame for this overlooked epidemic is thrown onto scenarios such as not being taught actual transferable life skills at school, like doing taxes, applying for loans or paying for insurance. But also is due to the easy access of information over the internet, which means it’s not as impressive anymore to complete (newly categorized) basic tasks. You have to push and do so many extra activities but everyone is in the same boat, so you all look for jobs with the same amount of experience.

There is the fear that there is no way to be ahead of the curve anymore. That the bright idealistic future you were promised as a child is now craving more as you work overtime at your basic job you are over qualified for.

So as dire as this sounds, there are techniques that can be used to keep yourself afloat and try to preemptively stop a complete Burnout, motivation can be gained through peer support, inspirational people/things and (most surprisingly) competitive behavior. A combination of techniques is useful for some, whereas others will only be suited to looking for one type of support.
